Privacy Policy

This policy describes how Nyanko mo Issho (the "Service") collects, uses, stores, and deletes information including personal data. By using the Service you agree to this policy.

The Service generates and delivers a new daily image of your cat using your uploaded reference and memory photos as input to AI models.

• Account info: email address, display name, Auth0 identifier
• Preferences: language (Japanese/English), country, timezone, delivery hour, notification settings
• Content: cat reference photos, memory photos (places, furniture, toys, family members, etc.), cat name and appearance description, anniversary/birthday (optional)
• Billing info: customer ID issued by Stripe, subscription state, billing history. Card numbers and other payment credentials are NEVER stored by us — Stripe handles them entirely
• Integration info: LINE user identifier (if you enable LINE delivery)
• Access logs: timestamps, IP address, user-agent and similar technical metadata

• To generate and deliver your daily image (photos are sent as input to AI models)
• To authenticate your account
• To bill subscriptions and manage contract state
• To send email / LINE / in-app notifications
• To detect inappropriate content and keep the Service safe
• To respond to support inquiries
• To investigate issues and improve the Service

We do not sell uploaded photos or generated images to third parties, nor do we reuse them as training data for machine-learning models without your consent.

We use the following trusted vendors as data processors to deliver the Service:

• Authentication: Auth0 (Okta, Inc.) — email and identifier
• Hosting & storage: Google Cloud Platform — photos in Cloud Storage (Tokyo region); other data in Firestore (same region)
• AI image / video generation: Google Vertex AI — reference photos sent as model input
• AI content-safety checks: Google Cloud Vision SafeSearch and Gemini
• Billing: Stripe, Inc. (USA) — customer ID and payment information
• Email delivery: Resend, Inc.
• LINE notifications (optional): LINE Corporation

These processors handle data only as needed and under their own privacy policies and contracts.

Photos and account data are stored in Japan (Google Cloud Tokyo region) by default.

Some processing (payments, certain AI models, email delivery) may transfer data to systems outside Japan operated by the processors above. Such transfers are handled under each processor's privacy and data-protection regime.

• While your account is active, photos and settings are retained
• After cancellation, your data stays restorable for 30 days; after 30 days it is permanently deleted
• If you choose "Delete now" from account settings, deletion completes 7 days later (you can still restore during those 7 days)
• We retain non-identifying audit logs of completed deletions
• Once permanently deleted, data cannot be restored

We use session cookies to keep you signed in and minimal local storage for preferences (e.g., language). We do not use third-party advertising or tracking cookies.

You may exercise the following rights:

• Request access to and disclosure of stored data
• Request correction, addition, or deletion
• Request suspension of use
• Request stopping third-party sharing
• Delete individual photos and memory photos (via account settings)
• Delete your entire account (via account settings)

The Service is intended for users aged 13 and over. Users under 13 must use the Service with the consent of a parent or guardian.

This policy may be updated as needed. Material changes will be announced in the Service or by email to your registered address.
